Sadaqatul Fitr information

فرض رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم زكاة الفطر طهرة للصائم من اللغو والرفث وطعمة للمساكين

Abdullah ibn Abbas (RA) narrates the Messenger of Allah (SAW) prescribed Sadaqatul Fitr as a means of purification from useless and obscene acts for the fasting person and food for the needy person.
This amount should be given to the eligible needy before the day of Eid on behalf of each person in the household separately.
The minimum amount of Sadaqatul Fitr this year is $5 per person. The affluent Muslims are advised to give by the higher standard found in the Hadith, which amounts to $15, $40, $42 per person, as it is much more beneficial for the poor and easy for us as well.
